Monday (Day 2)
Tuesday (Day 3): Walking Fieldtrip
Wednesday (Day 4): Music
Thursday (Day 5): PE, Music
Friday (Day 1): Art, PE
Academics:
Our theme for the week is Summer Fun.
Reading: Enjoyment…reading and listening to books about summer and activities that go with summer.
Writing: We have finished our alphabet books, so look for them to come home sometime this week. We will be doing some journal writing about summer this week.
Math: Unit 6 test and review
Centers & Guided Reading: We are continuing to work on individual end of the year assessments. As the year comes to a close, baggie books will not be coming home anymore. Please make sure your child has returned all of his/her books to school.

May 25th: Walking Fieldtrip to Sparta Businesses
May 31st: No School – Memorial Day
June 1st: Fishing at Memorial Park
June 2nd: Field Days (afternoon at Maplewood 12:45-2:40) and Maplewood End of the year picnic (5:30-7:00 pm)
June 3rd: Last day of school
Information:
As the end of the year approaches, we will be busy with many fun activities. Please make sure to dress your child appropriately with comfortable clothes and tennis shoes. We will also be outside a large amount of time and it sounds like it may be quite hot. Please be sure to apply sunscreen in the morning before you send your child to school. If you would like to join us for any of the activities we have scheduled, please let us know.
The end of the year potluck picnic is scheduled for Wednesday, June 2nd. Kindergarten families are asked to bring a side dish. This is a great time to say good-bye to friends and possibly even get some contact information from other parents to arrange play dates over the summer.
