                       21st Century Community Learning Center

Maplewood Elementary School with the Boys and Girls Club of Sparta

                                      "A Partnership in Student Success"

The goal of Maplewood's Community Learning Center (CLC) is to provide opportunities for students to perform better academically, socially and emotionally.

The CLC at Maplewood provides before and after school care for children to meet the goal stated above.  Activities at the CLC include: physical activity, homework help, subject and skill specific tutoring, healthy snacks, cooperative games and team building, arts and crafts, enrichment and extension activities, and family involvement opportunities.  The activities and opportunities above are linked to and support the curriculums and goals of Maplewood Elementary School and the Sparta Area School District.  The CLC is much more an extension of Maplewood School rather than a separate program.

For more information, click on the "CLC Information" and the "Enroll my child in the CLC" tabs to the left or contact Kelli Johnson, CLC coordinator, at kjjohnson@spartan.org or phone her at (608)366-3465.  You may also contact Mike Roddick, Maplewood Principal, at mroddick@spartan.org or by phone at (608) 269-8133.
